Jomon and Yayoi Period ca. 11,000 - ca. 250 BC
Jomon era
The most prompt travelers as showed by archeologists were a tribal people, the Ainu. In the end the Ainu people and their lifestyle were urged toward the Northern parts of Japan by the Jomon people (around 11,000 - ca. 300 BC).
Around 660 BC, according to old legends and Chinese stories, Jimmu became into the first head of Japan. Around 350 BC the Yayoi people assaulted Japan. Remains from this period are ceramic vessels and mud figures. Copper and bronze was used for weapons and religious knick-knacks like ringers.
