Production: Actual annual production volume measured in number of vehicles.
Capacity: Production capability over the course of a year defined as 2 standard shifts per day, 7 hours per shift, 244 days worked per year multiplied by the plant's line speed measured in vehicles per hour. E.g., capacity = 2 x 7 x 244 x line speed.
Line Speed: The number of vehicles produced per hour.
Percent Utilization: Production divided by capacity.
HDD, CDD: Heating degree day (HDD) and cooling degree day (CDD) values for the current twelve-month period matching that used for energy use and production figures, for the actual location of the plant (if measured and monitored at the plant) or for the nearest tracked weather station (e.g., from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) database at www.noaa.gov). For purposes of U.S. EPA certification of plant performance, a user must enter HDD and CDD values derived from either actual weather measurements taken at the plant or tracked through weather station data per the method described below.
