Both ASAR data and model simulation indicate that the
SAR data was correlated with rice parameters. The increasing
trend of σ 0 as a function of rice parameters is observed until
the reproductive phase for the five rice fields. For HH likepolarization,
at the beginning of the cycle, flooded fields
provide very low backscatter (about –20 dB). Then at the end
of the reproductive phase, σ 0 values reach –9 to –6 dB.
