Promotin is critial, even for existig CSAs, as customer
turnover is inevitable. In fact, a 2006 study of CSAs in Cali-
fornia and Washington found retentin rates of 63 percent,
thus 37 percent of customers did not return. 4 Currently,
farms using CSAs in Tennessee and surrounding states have
reported retentin rates of 80 percent (20 percent cus-
tomer turnover)
