Groundwater will be used to an ever-increasing extent
by urban water utilities in Finland in the near future. By
the year 2010 the proportion of groundwater and
artificial groundwater is estimated to reach 70-75% of
which artificially recharged groundwater will account for
about E-20% (Hatva, 1996). The remaining 25-30%
