I hope this note finds you well my friend. I was in Chiang Mai for the recent IAGTO convention and met with a number of your colleagues from Sports and Recreation Management. I think one of them said the Khun Nitaya has retired. I missed seeing you!
I wanted to share an opportunity with you. You will aware of the Club Manager’s Association of America. This is the leading organization for developing Club General Managers. Well, this organization is now working with the Asian Golf Industry Federation to facilitate the Certification of Club Managers in Asia with the coveted “CCM” designation. The first BMI course was in Singapore last fall. With your background, you would make a good CCM candidate. While the BMI course is not exactly cheap, the company may support your enrollment and see this as a great investment into your future with the company if you were to complete all the requisite studies. This course is in Bangkok making it really convenient for you. Unfortunately, I had to turn down the speaking offer as my schedule does not match up.
Eric Lynge is the Executive Director of AGIF and he can explain a bit more to you if there is interest. Take a look at the attached files.
Eric – Khun Thalerngchai Suwannamai is a long time friend and former colleague from Rajpruek. I hired him as our sports director when the club opened in 1994. His career has grown over the years at Rajpruek and he is now the GM. He runs a great club!
Thanks and regards to you both.
