Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Study Center located in Cha Cheng Sao province (Eastern part of Thailand). It covers 303 hectares. His Majesty the King has established this study center since 1979 as the integrated model to rehabilitate the degraded soil, reforestation, water management and crop improvement. the values of the lands are as follows: Biophysical value: before the establishing of the center, the land was sandy soil with continued degraded by conventional cassava growing and lacked of water resource. With continued work to construct water resources, reforestation, and soil and water conservation the soil become fertile, forest and water resource are available in the area. Social value: the communities located around the center can participate in series of training and demonstration in the center that they gain knowledge in various techniques on soil improvement, vocational training, cropping techniques, cooperatives and etc. that make them improve their living. Tourism value: this center is place for recreation of people and many tourist form other province often come to visit this center. Cultural value: to commemorate the anniversary of His Majesty the King Birthday, every year this center organizes different activities for increase awareness of people on the important of soil, water and forest.
