Introduction
This study shares lessons learned from ongoing action research conducted to design and test a mobile learning model that may help migrant indigenous children in Latin America. The study is part of a larger project established to develop entrepreneurial strategies that help the underserved with educational capacity building (i.e., initially through literacy development), ultimately leading to increased economic and social mobility. At the onset of this study, a prototype of a handheld mobile learning device was adopted as an integral part of the learning model.
