4. Academic Background: Applicants must be Japanese university graduates, or have achieved a status equivalent to Japanese university graduates. Applicants who are Japanese university graduates, or have achieved a status equivalent to Japanese university graduates, fall into the following categories: 1. Completion of 16 years of formal education in a foreign country (for admission to the Master’s course in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary, or to the Masters course in the Faculty of Pharmacology based on 6-year undergraduate program, the minimum is 18 years). 2. For admission to the graduate school, applicants must have, or anticipate having, qualifications equivalent to a university graduate based on an individual examination for admission requirements and must be 22 years of age or older (for admission to the Masters course in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary, or to the Master’s course in the Faculty of Pharmacology based on 6-year undergraduate program, the minimum is 24 years or older). (Note) There are cases in which applicants may receive admission based on qualifications other than those stated above.
