The coefficients of variability provided in Table 2 indicate that the experimental errors involved in this study were relatively low. The two locations used in the evaluation showed statistical differences (P < 0.05) only for harvest index (Table 2), but there were highly significant differences (P < 0.01) among crosses for all the variables analysed. With the exception of the plant-type score, the crosses-by-environment interactions were also highly significant (P < 0.01). Cassava is frequently characterized by high genotype-byenvironment interactions and the results confirm this.
