Bureaucracy is one of the eleven fields the government of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has set out to reform. Spearheaded by the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission, the bureaucratic reform this time is aimed at urgently enhancing the efficiency of government services for the public with a focus on convenient access to the service systems. Another key objective of the bureaucratic reform is to prevent corruption and government fraud in the public sector. All 20 ministries as well as state enterprises have started their reform effort simultaneously in line with the government’s national reform roadmap.
