Our company was founded in 1979 by Klaus and Michael Stenzhorn. In the early years they focused on the wholesale side of the business, supplying jewelers in Germany with the goods produced in Bangkok by several local manufactures. They were successful with the sales, but were not quite satisfied with the consistency and the quality of the merchandise made by their suppliers. In the mid-80s the two brothers decided to start their own production in Bangkok. Their aim was to match the quality of top factories in Europe. It wasn't at all easy and required a lot of perseverance. Some aspects of the production carried out by the local employees were easier to bring up to the right level , but not all of them. At that time most manufacturers in Bangkok were specializing in production of jewellery from the lower end of the market. Klaus and Michael invited some specialists from Europe to train their staff, and this way were able to move up a level. This policy resulted in being among the first ones in Bangkok who used a microscope for pave setting. Within few years microscopes were installed not only in setting section, but also in QC and on all goldsmith benches. They didn't stop there. Once they were able to produce in Thailand and match the European quality, there appeared an urge to make things others couldn't and they became one of the pioneers in making complicated invisible set pieces with diamonds. K.S Jewelry also had developed a unique way of making flexible necklaces and bracelets out of coronets handmade from pulled wire.
This approach and the top quality that came along with it didn't go unnoticed and several big brands established business relationships with the Stenzhorn brothers. Their need of the for full control over the whole production process even led them to acquiring gold and diamond mines in Africa, and later on to a diamond cutting in Santo Domingo, for a period of time. Part of this heritage still lives on in our factory today in the diamond cutting department, which is a little unusual for a gold and platinum production facility. Since then K.S Jewelry has become known within the jewellery industry for several unique techniques, all achieved by combining its own engineering, latest technology, high quality hand-work and by being always in pursuit of perfection.
