The results revealed that the means of participants’ cognition of the five functions of urban parks in descending order are landscape beauty (4.53), social value (4.36), health and safety (4.33), ecological conservation (4.31), and economic benefits (3.46) (Table 2). The participants were highly aware of the parks’ benefits to landscape beauty, social value, health and safety, and ecological conservation, and moderately aware of the parks’ economic benefit. The reliability coefficient of the participants’ evaluation of the five functions was 0.72 (Cronbach α ), indicating a fair consistency of assessment
