Role 4 Director of Human Resource Development. You have a master’s degree in human resource management, and have been with the company for five years. You favor a more decentralized organization and a type of leadership that is concerned with human needs and have been working toward this goal. You feel strongly that the most important resource in the organization is people. Morale and the satisfaction of individuals are the primary goals as you see it. You have already initiated several OD-type programs (communication, team building, and leadership training) and would like to see more innovative OD programs to improve the organization’s long-term effectiveness. All of the programs you concider successful except for the quality circles. Some production line employees got upset when their suggestions were not implemented by the Director of Production.
