A concentrated extract of pomegranate peel (PGE) was obtained
according to Romeo et al. (2015) from ripe pomegranate (Punica
granatum L.) fruit cv. ‘Mollar De Elche’, harvested in Acireale (Italy).
The concentrated solution containing 120 g/l of dry matter and 1%
citric acid as antioxidant was stored at 5 C until use.
