In both Blount1 and Bennington2 soils, total respiration increased with increasing glyphosate application rate (Fig. 1). Bennington2 soil demonstrated higher respiration values compared to Blount1 soil under all glyphosate application rates, except for 1×, where Blount1 soil showed higher respiration. In Blount0 soil, the respiration under all glyphosate application rates initially increased with maximum respiration observed for 3× application rate. But with further incubation, the respiration values decreased under all conditions to near zero (Fig. 1).
