Good stockpeople can visually assess the health
of individual animals (Millman, 2012). Despite this,
piggery workers can often struggle to decide when euthanasia
is the most humane option for pigs (Morrow
et al., 2010). Identifying several measures that can be
used alongside the worker’s subjective assessment
may help aid management decisions. The first step
