I finished a Certificate of Public Health from Sirindhorn College of Public Health ,
Khonkaen, Thailand in 2017. I have been a health officer in Primary Health Care Unit in
Loei Province, Thailand since 2017 My days in the Primary Health Care Unit often made
me think about the prevention of illness as well as the illness themselves. I was already
doubting plan my future to study the Public Health Adminstration .
In 2015, I had the experience the internship at the Kamalasai hospital in Kalasin
province, Thailand the most experience that I was learning about treatment, health
promotion, prevention disease including rehabilitation patients for 2 month. In 2016 I
had the experience the internship at the Phonsawan hospital in Nakornphanom
province, Thailand I was learning about environmental health care, Study on the water
supply system, Learned about The 7 pieces of community such as Geo-social mapping,
Genogram, Community organizations, Local health systems, Community calendar, Local
history and Life story. Moreover I learned about Public health technical officer role.
Along with my duties at Kamalasai hotpital and Phonsawan hospital I attended
seminars and met with public health leaders at different functions and events. All these
activities confirmed my growing interest in Health care, outcomes and effectiveness,
and quality of care, particularly within the private/managed care sector. These are my
strongest interests because I believe they are fundamental to our nation health. We
must achieve efficiency and access without sacrificing quality.
Khon kaen University would help me achieve my goals of furthering my public
health education through the specialize coursework offered as part of its health
administration program. I am especially interested in a master’s degree at your
university because of programme objectives or curriculum of this programme. With
the knowledge and experiences gained from this study, it will help me greatly to solve
adolescent health problems. Furthermore, I strongly believe that studying at your
university will lead me to achieve in public health career because your programme is
able to develop my knowledge and skills to be a competent instructor and researcher.
I welcome the challenge of serving a large community and participating in such a
dynamic and challenging field. What if an aspirin a day could prevent heart attacks?
What if abandoning unnecessary procedures saved thousands of dollars, which then
allowed a hospital to treat other patients needing care? What if every person was
guaranteed care and that care was good? I would like to find answers for these
questions during my career as a public health graduate student and professional.
