Best Answer: I completely agree because it is human nature to be motivated and seek out each and every one of our own social status in the world; And that can only be done if each of the hierarchy of needs are satisfactorliy met so a continuation to all the other needs could also be met and obtained.
**Well, everyone must start at the bottom and work their way up the triangle of needs such as seeking food, water, and shelter known as the basic needs. When those basic needs are met, what than? Than on to the next need which would be the need to be safe and secure, as job secure and healthwise; Some kind of safety net, to be able to feel safe and secure before anything else could be pursued; Obviously, the need to be loved and accepted. When neither one of those two are met than most people are pretty much stuck at that stage until it is fulfilled before they could continue on. At this point, it is almost impossible to be motivated to seek out and pursue other needs any further if none of what I mentioned so far has been met.
Once love and acceptance has been met than the need to find one's place in society, one's identity, will eventually be seeked out; our own achievement, self-esteem, our social status in society, family, and friends. If all that has been acquired along with being respected and giving respects, I'd like to say a large percentage of people could settle for that and not want to pursue any further.
For a few and small handful of people who insist on settling for less, there is ultimately one more needs to fulfill and usually the hardest to acquired. The need to pursue "self-actualization" which is the highest status anyone could obtain if ONLY all else has been satisfactorily achieved. This final need has only been achieved by a very small percentage of people thus far. It takes persistence, intelligence, and lots of wisdoms and patience. A person of this status has the ability to comprehend and accept all and any problems presented to him. He has a wealth of knowledge and could react positively to every situations and able to associate with anyone at any level....He has conquered all.....and still remains very humble and accepting of other's ideas...lol
**Man, what a helluva detailed summary. But I am a firm believer of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs because if you really think about it, it does make some kind of sense. It can be applied to anyone and everyone and presents the most logical explanation of the ordinary human needs.
That's all...
