Educational Testing Service (ETS) devotes substantial resources to rater training and monitoring
during the scoring sessions to ensure accuracy of the scoring for the TOEIC Speaking and Writing
tests. Raters for the TOEIC Speaking and Writing tests are required to be college graduates with
experience teaching English as a second language or English as a foreign language at the high
