Forecasting
The entrepreneur has a number of techniques to develop a forecast for sales. In putting together a business plan there are two principal requirements. First, there is need for as reasonably accurate a projection as can be be developed. There is always a considerable risk in attempting to predict the future. The dynamics of business are such that within six months all parameters may have changed and the forecasts are no longer appropriate. Nevertheless, for the most important the first plan the entrepreneur must assemble a credible evaluation of what is expected in sales.
