worksThe light quality and characteristics of indoor environments arekey factors to consider during the design of smart objects pow-ered by PV cells. The requirements for a measurement platform ofthese parameters is a main objective here. In addition to the gen-eral specification for measurements, a suggestion for components, mechanical structure and required signaling is presented. To manipulate the intensity of light received by IPVs on the mea-surement board, four light modification techniques are provided. The effect of each method on the spectrum is depicted graphicallyby use of sample data collected within the platform. Pros and consof each method are mentioned helping the operator to select themore proper modification technique based on the measurementrequirements.VI and VP characteristics of a mounted cell under different lightintensities are provided as examples. To make a realistic impres-sion of the light incident angle, power curves of a cell measured indifferent angles are provided too.Although by use of the mentioned ventilation system inner tem-perature of the measurement platform will be always the sameas room temperature, an active temperature control is required toprovide accurate temperature analysis independent from the roomcondition.
