Previous studies by Abdalla et al. [22], reported that methanolic extracts obtained from the Egyptian mango seeds contain different phenolic compounds such as tannins (20.7 mg/100 g) and vainillin (20.2 mg/100 g). Also, was found gallic acid (6.0 mg/100 g), cumaric acid (12.6 mg/100 g), caffeic acid (7.7 mg/100 g), mangiferin (4.2 mg/100 g), ferulic acid (10.4 mg/100 g), cinnamic acid (11.2 mg/100 g) and unidentified compounds (7.1 mg/ 100 g). Puravankara et al. [23], identified six phenolic compounds in mango seed extracts, especially gallic acid, ellagic and gallates. While Arogba [24], reported the
presence of gallotannins and condensed tannins.
