So what happens with me is I will be having a completely normal dream.. then all of a sudden I will be in my bed, I'll know I'm in my bed but I just can't move. I'll hear things, anything from screams to the sounds of bombs outside. Sometimes I will see people walking into my room. I'll try desperately to wake up.. from trying to yell to trying to move and roll myself off my bed. My heart will be racing and I'll be dripping in sweat when I finally do wake up. Many times I will think I'm finally awake and then realize I still can't move and that I'm asleep.
It's happened in my bed, on the couch and when I'm on a boat (often take them for work).. happened sleeping on my back, face and side.
It used to happened once or twice a year but it has started happening much more often.. almost every single night this month, sometimes even multiple times a night.
My sleep schedule is pretty erratic due to my job and I've been pretty stressed.. but not much can be done in that regard.
So my question is 'is this sleep paralysis' and if so, what can I do about it? This is causing me to lose a lot of sleep, I've been experiencing a lot of anxiety.
Any help is extremely appreciated
