The lesson learned of six small schools was drawn on the school principal, all teachers, nine school committee, 10 students and their parents in each school. Interviews followed a semi-structured format using the interview protocol (Merriam, 1998). Open-ended questions allowed the participants to share their experiences and describe the realities that exist in small school in order to reveal thoughts of small schools’ stakeholders. The interviews, occurred in the second semester of the 2012 school year, were audio taped and transcribed.
