Step 3. Breaking down the parameters into n criteria
The EP criteria are made up of pollutants (CO, SO2,NO,Pb,highly
volatile compounds–PM and noise). The PUS criteria are differentiated
according to the way the land is used in the area under consideration
(residential zone, public zone, traffic zone, sports and recreational zone,
green area, water surface, communal space, business zone and commercial
zone). The HP criteria are determined by the health status of the population
in terms of lung conditions and are made up of the average annual
number of individuals suffering from asthma, bronchitis, and the average
number of respiratory infections in a calendar year. The PLOC criteria, in
relation to the energy and depreciation costs of the operators, are given
as the density of the traffic flow, the average spatial rate of the traffic
flow and the average slope of the links defined by the transport network.
