The dielectric characteristics of 3D printed products are
analysed by means of broad band dielectric spectroscopy
using a Quasi-optical Millimetre wave vector network
analyser (MVNA) operating in the 40 to 330 GHz range. The
details about the Quasi-optical mm-wave reflection and
transmission two-port system are introduced in [5] and [6].
The effective permittivity and loss tangent are retrieved. By
measuring the weight and volume, the density of air inside the
ABS sandwich is calculated and the permittivity of P430 ABS
is deduced from the Maxwell Garnett Mixing Rule [7]. The
permittivity of the grid layer is 1.91 and the loss tangent is
0.00678 in the W-band (70 GHz - 110 GHz), the pure ABS
permittivity is 2.8437-0.0326i.
