post-treatment. As shown, at intake, the eclectic
group obtained higher scores than the behavioral
group on all measures except VABS Composite and
Daily Living. However, a significant difference in
favor of the eclectic group was found for only 1 of the
16 measures, VABS Socialization.
Although the two groups did not differ significantly
at intake on most measures, the behavioral
group showed significantly more change than the
eclectic group on intellectual functioning, language
comprehension, expressive language, and VABS
Communication. Changes in scores on the other
measures did not differ significantly between groups,
though the behavioral group showed more progress
or not as much decrease (Daily Living Skills domain
on the VABS and Adaptive Behavior Composite also
on the VABS) on all variables assessed.
