The Department of Special Investigation on Tuesday said it was taking over cases of money laundering and a string of misconduct allegations against Luang Pu Nen Kham Chattiko, the Buddhist monk under fire for his luxurious lifestyle.
DSI director-general Tarit Pengdith, after chairing a meeting of officials from the DSI, the National Buddhism Office, the Central Institute of Forensic Science, the Office of the Narcotics Control Board and the Anti-Money Laundering Office, said his agency would assume control of all cases concerning alleged misconduct, criminal and religious.
