For a large range of MTBE/composite ratios the Langmuir model (Table S3) could yield a reasonably good simulation and prediction of the results. The results of the fit of calculations to the experimen- tal values in Table S3 are summarized by R2 = 0.93 and RMSE (root mean square error) of 3.8, which is well within the experimental er- rors. The parameters describing MTBE adsorption were R0 = 2.7
