The purpose of this present study was to investigate the psychometric properties and predictive validity of the Youth
Resiliency: Assessing Developmental Strengths questionnaire as a viable, self report tool for measuring adolescents' resiliency in Grades 7 to 9 in relation to corresponding engagement in both at-risk and prosocial behavior patterns.
In addition, a theoretical framework for understanding factors which promote the development of youth resiliency is presented in this study to illustrate the potential utility of the survey from a community well-being and health-based perspective.
