LONDON - New Zealand international fly-half Nick Evans could miss the rest of the season due to damage to the bone in his right leg, his Harlequins head coach Conor O'Shea revealed on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old former All Black could miss three months of the season if an operation is needed to repair the leg injury suffered in Saturday's 28-6 English Premiership defeat at Gloucester.
"He's seeing a specialist and he'll be out for a minimum of six to seven weeks," said O'Shea.
"He's pulled a bit of bone off the leg, it's just whether, with the damage he's done, it will need to be looked at for an operation.
"If anything happens it would be around 12 weeks.
"You see it happen a lot unfortunately. We just wish him luck."
If that proves to be the case, he would miss the rest of the regular season and face a race against time to be fit for either the European Challenge Cup final on May 13 or the Premiership play-offs starting on May 20, should Quins reach either.
They sit fifth in the Premiership table and face a European Challenge Cup quarter-final against London Irish on Saturday, April 9.
