The process of clangs needs to be multifaceted and on going. in a culture where experience IS often more valued than data (quantitative or qualitative), practice clangs requires an ongoing process consisting of education, auditing, and reinforcement to ensure sustainability. Our hope was to demonstrate that bedside nurses can be involved ill hospital- wide practice change. The process can be family centered, which is the goal for all pediatric nurses Our bottom-up approach was challenging but rewarding for all involved groups, as we were all the recipients of the successful outcome.
