of course email is convenient and i appreciate that. but it causes me a lot of stress too. i get a lot of emails from our offices in the U.S. some of them are important but some of them are just announcements that aren't interesting to me or relevant to my job. I eve get notices of social events at the american factories. I don't have to answer the unimportant email, but Ido have to read them first to decide if they are important or not. Once I got an email that had nothing to do with work at all - it was just some crazy story. I didn't know what I was supposed to do with that. Did the person who sent it expect some kind of response?
If seems to me that our American workers send very long emails. It takes me some time to read them, and even longer to write a good reply. And they expect an answer so quickly! I think if something is important, they should use the phone. These day, it's not so expensive and it's also more personal
