Assembly to debate 'transport crisis'
A railway task force is looking at the options
The Northern Ireland Assembly is to debate the current uncertainty surrounding the future of the public transport system.
Joe Byrne of the nationalist Social Democratic and Labour Party is seeking the "urgent implementation" of a public transport policy to counter current problems in the bus and rail networks.
The debate follows the launch of a campaign last week by Translink, the company which runs Northern Ireland's railways, to save the system.
Staff handed out leaflets to passengers explaining what they se
