molar ratio
(experiment 2; bottom) in the nutrient solution on the content
of rosmarinic acid (RA) in different types of leaves in sweet
basil (O. basilicum L. cv. Genovese) grown hydroponically
and harvested at full bloom, after seven weeks from
transplanting. In experiment 2, total nitrogen concentration
was 10.0 mol m-3
. Mean values ( SE) of four replicates,
each consisting of four plants. The effects of N concentration

ratio, leaf type and their interaction were
significant at P≤0.01 (**) or P≤0.001 (***) according to
ANOVA. Values followed by different letters differed
significantly at 5% level.
