A Musical can be hit-or-miss for most people. Incorporating music with a feasible storyline is a great feat, and most of the time end in failure. First off, let me start off by saying that Waterfall was not a failure. It's a fun, interesting musical for the most part, but all good things must sacrifice something. The only thing that would have made Waterfall a complete success for me, would have been a strongly developed storyline with more plot twists. I feel like the script was a bit a contrived and cliche love story- which is okay because a musical is truly all about the music (which was FANTASTIC). What sets this musical aside from others just like it is that incorporates 3 different cultures. The inter-racial relationships is quite refreshing for this period piece.
