environmental advantages. However, both treatments should be
further studied for environmental and economic impact.
More research is needed to integrate biocontrol agents into
production systems. Based on these results, several approaches
can be done, being rotating biocontrol agents with chemical
pesticides one of them. In addition, these data should be
integrated into forecast models to choose whether to apply a
chemical pesticide or a biocontrol agent. Continued research is
absolutely necessary to reinforce sustainable agriculture practices
and above all to ensure that other alternatives are available if
other management tools fail.
