Effect of Excessive F Consumption on Intracellular ATP
Synthesis
As shown in Table 2, long-term consumption of 2 ppm F with
drinking water did not lead to statistically significant decline
in the cellular ATP concentration. However, intoxication of
the rats with 10 and 20 ppm F resulted in 30 and 39 %
suppression of intracellular ATP synthesis, respectively, in
comparison to that in control animals.
