The fungal pellets obtained at the optimized growth conditions were further considered for
scanning electron microscopic (SEM, Carl Zeiss EVO® 50) analysis to have a highly
magnified view of the surface morphology. To prepare for SEM, cleaned fungal pellets were
air-dried on a microscopic glass slide at isolated position overnight at room temperature (25±
1 °C). Dried samples were directly mounted on a SEM grid and sputter coated (SPI Module
Sputter Coater) with gold before SEM analysis. Both size and shape were analyzed to confirm
the parameter effects on R. oryzae morphology
