It's been a month since a bicyclist reportedly fled the scene after causing a motorcycle rider to crash near Fort Collins, but investigators are no closer to identifying the rider who fled, Colorado State Patrol said.
Ryan Fullmer, 24, was riding his 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle about 4:55 p.m. April 22. After turning left from Larimer County Road 5 onto Larimer County Road 36 — Kechter Road — a bicycle on the Interstate 25 overpass shoulder veered into his lane and slowed to walking pace in front of the motorcycle. Fullmer, who was traveling about 45 mph, remembers hitting the rear brakes, losing control and being thrown from the motorcycle.
"I just wiped out right there," the Fort Collins man said Wednesday.
Instead of stopping to help the motorcycle rider who wrecked next to him, the bicyclist reportedly turned around and rode east, away from the crash. Fullmer described him as a man in his mid 50s with a trimmed white beard.
