In formal education, students cannot connect science with their everyday life and lose interest in the subject [4] and this fact results to many graduates leaving school without the science knowledge that could transform them into informed citizens and induct them into the scientific and technical workforce [1]. However, further education, beyond school and higher education is considered essential for all the members of the public. Squire and Patterson [2] identify that is not viable for school and university to transmit all the essential science knowledge and thus, people require continuous attention and understanding of scientific discoveries in order to understand and respond to the current social, scientific and technological challenges.
