Designed in 1957 by Paulo Mendes da Rocha, the striking Paulistano chair was part of the living rooms of the athletic club of Sao Paulo and was introduced into the MoMA collection in 2007.
The constructivist concept of the structure , made up from a single bent steel bar, and a pure stainless steel mesh cover, make this chair a lightweight, durable and immensely comfortable design.
The piece has been reintroduced by Objekto, the licensed manufacturers of da Rocha's designs and all chairs are manufactured in southern France.
Also available with a semi-aniline tan leather or with a white cotton cover over a stainless steel frame
