ABA concentration in fresh seeds was 1860.5 ng (g DW)1
, and in
seeds cold stratified for 4, 8 and 12 weeks it decreased significantly
to 1291.1, 934.5 and 566.0 ng (g DW)1
, respectively. ABA content
was 543.9 ng (g DW)1 in radicle-emerged seeds. There was no
significant difference in ABA content between 12 weeks coldstratified
seeds and radicle-emerged seeds (Table 3). The biologically
active GA3, GA4 and GA7 and the immediate precursor GA20 of
GA1, but not GA1, were detected in A. morrisonense seeds. GA4 was
detected in fresh, cold stratified and radicle-emerged seeds, GA3
and GA7 in seeds cold-stratified for 8 and 12 weeks and GA20 in
seeds cold stratified for 12 weeks (Table 3).
