Sanni Grahn-Laasonen, Finland’s Minister of Education and Culture said: “We need to challenge our education systems in order to keep up with current social change and expectations to encourage people to learn continuously. As one of its key projects Finnish Government supports the modernization of basic education to meet the current and upcoming challenges. Our learning methods and environments will be updated by this age of digitalization. The new national curriculum for basic education emphasizing digital skills will be introduced in August 2016. We will also support our highly qualified teachers to succeed in our journey to the future.”
