Cuprous sulfide synthesis
In a typical synthesis of the hexagonal nanoprisms, 6 mL of
a 0.11 M solution of Cu(II)[S2CNC4H10]2 in trioctylphosphine
(TOP 97%) is placed on a 6 mm 6 mm Si (100) substrate which
has been cleaned by sonication in isopropanol. The substrate is
placed onto a glass slide on a hot plate and heated under inert
atmosphere (N2) to 240–250 C until all solvent has evaporated
(about 10 min).
