Microbiology Laboratory Staff ( Foods Manufacturing)
- Description: Job Description The Microbiology Laboratory Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, monitoring experiments, making observations, and calculating and recording results. Under general supervision following SOPs and special test designs, the Laboratory Technician analyzes test data, completes required documentation, and performs equipment maintenance. Incumbent should understand lab safety involving laboratory waste and be a team player. Bachelors Degree in Microbiology or related discipline along with knowledge and experience in general microbiology methods (serial dilutions, plating,) are required. Exposure to GMP, GLP, ISO17025. Responsibilities: Be responsible for performing microbiological testing on raw materials, intermediates and finished products in a timely manner. Carry out compositing function for raw material and finished product samples. Support sampling activities as required by the sampling plan. Carry out media preparation and maintain laboratory inventory level to support testing activities. Perform and support environmental monitoring program. Provide data interpretation of environmental monitoring program and finish product results to support continuous verification of aseptic line performance. Provide technical support to the aseptic operation by establishing an environmental monitoring program for the facility, assist on trouble shooting activities related to aseptic filling, and support for validation and verification of aseptic filling performance. Provide support for microbiological expertise for root cause analysis, verification, and validation of the aseptic filling lines. Leadership role for people safety and development for the technical laboratory. Perform cleaning and sanitation of laboratory premises, equipment and glassware in accordance to Standard Operating Procedure. Organize calibration and performance check on equipment and ensure all laboratory documentation is maintained, recorded and reported accurately. Establishing ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and improving good laboratory practices. Interact with Corp QA by reports, participating in quarterly proficiency audit.
