Another proposal for a simple single-span wooden saddle-roof greenhouse is shown in Figure 39. It has a ventilation opening at the ridge, about 50 cm wide. The basic construction can be built by wooden pales(square timber of 50 x 50 cm to 70 x 70 cm or round timber of 60-80 cm diameter). The vertical stanchions can be fixed in steel supports which are put into a concrete foundation. A plastic film is fixed to a wooden pale in a longitudinal direction at the sidewall. The plastic filin is buried in the soil and filled longitudinally with gravel. It thus serves as a gutter and as a fixing element for the whole greenhouse.
