Data were collected based on a weighting
procedure to ensure accurate representation of adult educators from various sources in the
standardization sample. Ultimately, the author team created a list of sites across the country,
with goals for numbers of participants based on the demographic information obtained from
OVAE, the Division of Adult Education and Literacy and ProLiteracy, and then sent copies
of both Forms A and B. Forms were arranged to ensure counterbalanced administration.
Either Form A or Form B or both were sent to 944 potential participants within the
standardization sample.
