Adsorption mechanism depends on transportation process as
well as physical and chemical properties of adsorbent, which is
important information for designing batch adsorption systems
[51,58]. In order to analyze the adsorption rate behavior of Cr(VI)
on LSAC at different temperatures, the adsorption kinetics of Cr(VI)
on LSAC was evaluated using pseudo first-order (Eq. (4)) and
pseudo second-order models (Eq. (5)) [32,59]. The correlation
coefficient values (R2) were used to express the conformity
between the experimental data and the model predicted values. A
relatively high R2 value indicated that the model could successfully
describe the adsorption kinetics of Cr(VI) on LSAC
